Job Title: Costing and Analysis Accountant:
a)Objective:
We are a growing manufacturer of automotive components. Currently, we are seeking a qualified Cost Accountant to conduct activities related to cost and inventory accounting functions including inventory reconciliation, standard costing, and physical inventory. In addition, the candidate will support operations through analysis, inventory management and forecasting. Knowledge of good manufacturing practices is expected. Continuous improvement of inventory tracking and valuation processes is also expected. The position will report to the Plant Finance Manager and will be involved in monthly closings – preparing and posting journal entries, inventory tracking and variance analysis.
b) Other Responsibilities:
a. Perform Month End Reconciliation of Inventory
b. Track and evaluate labor and overhead rates
c. Monthly analysis of gross margin trends
d. Help maintain integrity of standard costs and resource rates in Platinum
e. Periodic audits of cycle count programs
f. Help to improve inventory tracking processes and valuation processes
g. Prepare annual SOX internal audit testing
h. Support General Accounting tasks for month end closing as necessary
I. Interface with other functions within Finance and within the Company
